May 2021: Hawaiki; Six Conceptions is a substantial revision and major expansion of an earlier work, The Four Periods of Creation, written but never performed in 1983 when I was an undergraduate student. It adapts texts from 'Te Ika a Maui, or New Zealand and its Inhabitants' by Reverend Richard Taylor (1805-1873), in particular drawing upon its depictions of Maori creation myths.

August 2020: I have just completed work on a new edition of my 2006 piece, Still Beating, for Scottish folk harp. The number of lever changes has now been significantly reduced to make performance easier and the piece has been afforded more breathing space, being around a minute longer than the original 2006 version. Available for a limited period as a FREE DOWNLOAD (go to the piece's entry on my WORKS page).

January 2020: For a limited period I am offering all currently available scores, including players' parts, FREE OF CHARGE. You will find high resolution pdf files of scores in their respective WORKS page. Where available, I have also included recordings that can either be streamed or downloaded.

December 2019: A studio recording of Odes and Episodes, for electric guitar with EBow and pedals, can now be found on the composition's page in the Works menu, along with the full score and instructions.

July 2019: Marking the 50th anniversary of the Apollo Moon landings, I will soon be embarking on a major new project provisionally called 'Worlds', which will comprise a series of extended acousmatic pieces building into a four-hour long work. Each World will be released as it is created, via the website and online via YouTube and Vimeo. Watch this space, as they say!

April 2019: I have just completed a new work, Clarion Song, for Bb or C trumpet and 3-manual organ. The piece takes as its starting point the opening melody of my Op.33, A Wedding Carol.

December 2018: I am about to begin work on a new piece for the Ludi quartet (Adrian Utley of the band Portishead with Adrian Lee, Samuel Murray and Philip Innes).

October 2018: My new composition 'Odes and Episodes', for electric guitar, EBow and two Boss DD-20 digital delay pedals was premièred on Friday 7th September 2018 at the S.T.R.E.A.M. Festival, Dartington, Devon.

January 2018: 'Scending', my four movement work for flautist and accordionist, received its première on April 28th 2017 at the Exchange, Penzance.

January 2015: Rohan de Saram and Will Sleath premièred my new work 'Fragilities' as part of an exciting programme of contemporary works for cello and flute.

April 2012: After successful performances at University College Falmouth and the Barbican in Plymouth, my work for electric guitar and digital delay 'Echoes of a Lost Music', in the guise of Emma-Jane Louvelle's dance piece 'In The Flesh', concluded its tour on Tuesday March 13th 2012 at the Bierkeller in Bristol.
