Hawaiki; Six Conceptions

Hawaiki; Six Conceptions is a substantial revision and major expansion of an earlier work, The Four Periods of Creation, written but never performed in 1983 when I was an undergraduate student. It adapts texts from Te Ika a Maui, or New Zealand and its Inhabitants by Reverend Richard Taylor (1805-1873), in particular drawing upon its depictions of Maori creation myths.
